Deepening Love

Deepening Love

A Poem by Xander West

Deepening Love

.

If I could paint the heavens and stars above,

Then a masterpiece I would draw for you,

If only to express a portion of our deepening love,

If I could build with these two hands of mine,

Then the house of your dreams I would design,

If for only you could see this deepening love of mine,

But all I have are honeyed words and a mended heart,

Far greater things are worthy of a woman like you,

Yet all I am, all I have, was yours from the very start,

If I could fly in the sky, then like an angel I would soar above,

Casting glory upon all like each of your lovely smiles,

To heaven I would fly to proclaim this deepening love,

If I could sing then this song I would write for you,

Such passion shown driving hearts to shed a tear,

For such deepening love as ours can only be true,

But all I have are honeyed words and a mended heart,

Far greater things are worthy of a woman like you,

Yet all I am, all I have, was yours from the very start.
