Fleeting Moments

Fleeting Moments

A Poem by Xander West

Fleeting Moments

The fleeting moments are the ones we yearn the most,
The moments shared in soft summer winds of sunset,
Or walking along a rocky wave-crashed autumn coast,
Ever yearning for moments capturing passions yet.

Fleeting moments carve who we are to ever be,
Moments unplanned but defining memories ever more,
Sparks of passion written in the fabrics of destiny,
Like spring's fluttering hummingbirds upon flowers soar.

The smallest of moments can shape the greatest desires,
Laying under the moonlight sky lost in countless stars,
Fleeting moments create the brightest of life's fires,
Such is the fleetest description of this passion of ours.
