A Love so Sad

A Love so Sad

A Poem by Xander West

A Love So Sad

Who could have ever knew,
Such love could even be true,
And if any one possibly ever had,
Did they know how it could be so sad.

We wait forever in hazy dreams,
To fall hopelessly in love it seems,
Only to be tragedy ripped far apart,
Force to live each day with only half a heart.

Yet perhaps only a love so sad as ours,
Could forever outshine even the skies' stars.
Yet perhaps only a love so sad as ours,
Could forever more heal such lasting scars.

To feel the passions of indescribable ecstasy,
Only to have the ending plainly written out to see,
To be holding on to hope that love is for eternity,
That once again to have a whole heart within me.

Yet perhaps only a love so sad as ours,
Could forever outshine even the skies' stars.
Yet perhaps only a love so sad as ours,
Could forever more heal such lasting scars.

The cold nights shivering reaching to hold you,
The hot thoughts and dreams of what We could do,
The lonely moments with tears of memories,
The hopes that our love over comes all tragedies.

If only ignorance bliss could heal my pain,
Yet for you I endure, never to complain,
For a greater tragedy even harder to bare,
Would be to never know how our love is so rare.

Yet perhaps only a love so sad as ours,
Could forever outshine even the skies' stars.
Yet perhaps only a love so sad as ours,
Could forever more heal such lasting scars.
