Chapter 12: Too Short a Memory

Many a Blue Moon

Once in only a great while,

Once in many a blue moon,

A love surely comes along,

A love beating to its own tune.

With the passion of brightest moon,

Entrancing two lovers in the night,

With one earth-shattering embrace,

The two create their very own light.

A light blossoming into a shiny star,

Growing ever bright with the love of two,

Cast in the sea of stars high above,

Yet standing all alone in vibrant blue.

And there in the darkness of night,

The lovers lay admiring their star above,

Warm embraces erasing all else away,

Save the star and the melody of the love.

A melody of romance and passion,

Swept away in a promising harmony,

A rhapsody of awe-inspiring ecstasy,

Two hearts beating as one perfectly.

Perhaps only once in a millennium,

Once in only many a blue moon,

A love like ours comes along,

A love beating to its very own tune.

The waves roll upon the dark rocky shore below us, the constant thunder of water pounding the high cliff, yet still the mist of wakes spray us up above.  Sitting upon the cliff's edge on a grassy knoll, lying listening to waves echoing harmony as the wind gentle whispers romantic lullabies.

We stare above to the perfectly clear night sky, watching the moon rise over the ocean below, so large, casting a reflection in the ripples of the dark churning water.  Stars sprinkled through out the night sky, dancing to the tune of the heavens.

In my arms my sweet lover rests, her head leaning upon my chest, perfect union to the perfect setting.  Such perfection shouldn't exist, yet somehow we found each other, two halves of one shared soul. Fingers intertwined, slightly caressing, whispering of love onto the wind's romantic lullabies.

We lay as one watching for the show of dancing lights to start above. Patiently waiting for the first of the streaking blue lights streaming across our night sky.  One by one by, the dozens at a time, shooting across the horizons, bright enough to be seen even with the moon back dropping them, silvery blue dashes reflecting upon the darker waters as if bringing the ocean to life before our very eyes.

Whispering to my love:

Forever...I will follow you,

Forever...you will be in I,

Forever... our love stands true,

Forever...as we stare into our eyes,

Forever... I will stand by you,

Forever...we dance in the sky,

Forever...such loves as ours is few,

Forever...means there is no good bye,

Forever...I wish to you to whisper I do,

Forever...bride I wish you to be of my,

Forever...day after day, me and you,

Forever...in marriage our lives we renew,

Forever...you will be part of I,

Forever...forever I will love only you.

"I do....."  With a kiss we already knew, as one we were meant to be, forever true, forever more.  As the heavens danced above, I pull my lover on top of me, our hips swaying as one, hands caressing as a pair, lips locked forever more.

Passions grew as the waves pounded harder, heat Rose even as the wind picked up its whispering, the show above now a forgone thought to beauty we sparked.  We a passion unmatched, we made love until the sunrise blessed us with love my rays, as one we became while that night by the cliff.

If only I knew how precious our time truly was together, how much every moment meant when there was no more, how much more I could have expressed, how much more we could have shared.  Longing to return to the time we had, holding on to the scent of her hair flowing through the wind,  her voice whispering i do to me, my heart beating as one with the only love I have known, or forever shall.

How to Say Bye

Lost in a world of dark raging seas,

Stumbling blindly through pitch black,

Knowing all that remains is a shell of me,

Wondering how do I ever find a way

back.

All voices drowned out by howling wind,

No sunlight due to the pounding storms,

A dark pain that's seems to have no end,

I simply wish to be resting in warm arms.

How to say bye to love that doesn't die,

In all the pain that surrounds me everyday,

I only see beauty when thinking of your eyes,

How to say bye if my heart holds on in every way.

So I stumble through this eternal night,

Holding on to a love that captured my heart,

Holding on to the only thing I knew was right,

Trying to keep my heart from splitting apart.

I fall asleep every lonely night holding you,

But I always wake up each morning all alone,

My heart holding on to a love that was true,

Every day repeating my same ole sad song.

How to say bye to a love that doesn't die,

When you know it will shatter you into pieces,

How to say bye to a love and simply cry

When it's all of her your tender heart misses.
