One Rose IV

One Rose IV

A Poem by Xander West

One Rose IV

I have so very little to offer you,

But with so much beauty all around,

Don't be blinded by all the dark pain,

Even in pain beauty can be found.

One rose holding on for dear-life,

Growing on a branch of dying grey,

But in the midst of its struggle,

The rose buds day after lonely day.

With days that are numbered,

The Rose shines in a world of pain,

Soft petals turning red to a dark purple,

Bringing beauty to this life of disdain.

Most would say the Rose offered little,

But with all the fake beauty lying around,

Don't be blinded by the all the dark pain,

In the darkest times the most beauty is found.

One single rose with it dying hues,

One struggling Rose representing you,

One beautiful Rose standing it's ground,

I would say this Rose is most beautiful all around.
