Where We Belong

Where We Belong

A Poem by Xander West

Where We Belong

Under the soft covers I lie under the trees,

Wonder to the stars high above what to believe,

In my arms I hold my only dream come true,

I'm at my happiest whenever I'm next to you.

Each kiss sends my soul soaring to heaven,

Each moment is treasured, every single second,

A simple caress of your hands creates sparks,

Healing my heart carrying stains of so many marks.

Each whisper tenderly flowing as a gentle wind,

Soothing my soul for you my beginning and end,

From the first light of the day, to my dreams at night,

On the whispers I pray, you are the only thing I got right.

As one we become under covers of the stars,

Even the moon rising over the horizon is ours,

The cool breeze of the night singing our love song,

In each other's arms becoming one is where we belong.
