Dancing Petals

Dancing Petals

A Poem by Xander West

Dancing Petals

Admiring a rose so like my very own heart,

So bold and eager for life from the very start,

Beautiful at the first yet ever staining so dark,

Taking on life's struggles and carrying heavy marks.

Wilting away slowly over each passing day,

Growing colder and darker what's left to say,

Longing to feel the healing power light of love,

To bask in the heavenly gift from somewhere above.

Waiting for you to come dancing on the wind,

A treasure an angel surely could only send,

Delightfully dancing glowing in such glorious light,

Never before have I witnessed such a magnificent sight.

Healing the heavy marks wearing upon my soul,

Brilliant hues of color again as I'm made whole,

Eagerly waving soft petals in the sunny sky,

Along with you forever more dancing as my petals fly.
