No Words CompareA Poem by Xander WestNo Words Compare To my love, my sensual lover, we all wish to feel treasured. Yet, somehow you alight my soul, ignite my mind, spark the flames of my heart, each act of love creating a fiery inferno of which your desires have become the kindle. I only wish to gift you the same emotions you so freely bestow upon me. However, all I truly have to express my thoughts are my simple words, seemingly insignificant compared to your love. If I was a flower, I would be blooming in the sunny spring, If I was a mockingbird, to the heavens you would hear me sing, Yet all I have are my words, and my words I give you freely, No words of mine could ever, capture your glorious beauty. If I was the moon, to the seas I call out only your name, If I was a star, with your love my sparks would flame, Yet all I have are my words, and my words I give you freely, No words of mine compare to love, no words could completely. If I was a painter, I would create a divine masterpiece, If I was god for but a day, I would grant eternal peace, Yet all I have are my words, and my words I give you freely, No words of mine have that depth, no words express that deeply. If I was an autumn leaf, I would dance along the northern breeze, If I was an ancient forest, your love could live as long as such trees, Yet all I have are my words, and my words I give you freely, All I have left to offer your love, is my loving heart equally. © 2016 Xander WestReviews
