Fallen for You

Fallen for You

A Poem by Xander West

“Fallen For You”

To escape what I already know to be true,

To run far away from the hidden truth,

How could I ever have fallen for you,

I can run, I can hide, I try every day,

But something in how you say,

Makes me turn around,

Something in the sound.

To escape what I already know to be true,

To run far away from the hidden truth,

How could I ever have fallen for you,

I try to ignore the thoughts of my mind,

I fight myself on the inside all the time,

A struggle between what’s really mine,

And what’s on the other side of the line.

To escape what I already know to be true,

To run far away from the hidden truth,

How could I have ever fallen for you,

Running wildly though I can’t even see,

Stumbling as my mind tries to flee,

But at every turn I’m finding you,

Something about the spell you threw,

I can run, I can hide, I try every day,

But something in how you say,

Makes me turn around,

Something in the sound,

To escape what I already know to be true,

To run far away from the hidden truth,

How could I ever have fallen for you.
