My Beautiful Angel

My Beautiful Angel

A Poem by Xander West

Lost in a world of treachery

No hopes in what to believe

My beautiful angel comes....to save me

My soul at lost has a chance to be free

But the path I choose wasn't easy.

Born in a word of hate and sin,

Born in a family I wasn't welcomed in,

Born to a father of violence and pain,

Who was always on the verge of going insane,

Born to a mother who quickly abandon me,

Locking up a heart that I thought

Would never have a chance to believe.

Raised in a life of petty crime,

In a house of filth and grime,

Trying to scrounge up food for my brother,

Trying to be a man and father to the other,

Knowing all along this life isn't right,

But just trying to survive through the night.

My beautiful angel comes....to save me,

Giving me hope I've never had the chance to see,

Giving me something for once that I can believe,

Giving me the key to set my heart free,

Becoming the man I've always been meant to be.

Cast in a world of treachery,

No hope in what to believe,

My beautiful angel comes....comes to save me,

My soul at last has chance to be free,

But the path I chose wasn't easy
