A Wordless Confrontation of Estranged LoversA Poem by Xander WestHow lovers can communicate with only looks and body language.A Wordless Confrontation of Estranged Lovers
I listen to the rhythm of a summer shower's sprinkles slightly pattering upon the roof.
I'm lost in rhapsody of the seducing shower storm, searching into his eyes for proof,
I linger across the lightly lit room from her wondering what exactly my searing anger was all about,
Turbulent thoughts racing across my mind hoping to shed light upon any doubts
Curse the Gods for I can't gaze upon her eyes and not feel all my anger dissipate.
Why in Good God's name do I think of walking away yet one look from him and I always hesitate?
How I love to become lost in a world of only us as I stare into her enthralling eyes,
How I miss him sweetly kissing my check softly each morning at sunrise,
I can't resist but only adore the longing look of her luminous lush lips,
I simply crave his strong calloused hands enticingly caressing my curvy hips
I only desire to fiercely pull her close, to faithfully forgive and kiss,
I only wholeheartedly wish to love all his worthy small imperfections that I miss,
Damn, why should I be the first one to finally give in when I did nothing wrong?
Yep, here we go again, I know that stubborn look, same old song, all lifelong,
Alas, the struggle to be so near a woman you love, yet realize the vast rift between you two,
I keep trying to help, dropping hints, gingerly looking his way, how can I get through,
I stare directly into her stunning eyes, my desires overcoming all my thoughts,
Why does he have to look so striking with those baby blue eyes, S**t, I was caught,
I stroll across the room to pull her close, her perfect curves pressed tightly,
I can't let him kiss me, should we do this, I must be losing my mind entirely,
I forgot how sweet, how soft her lush lips taste, like heavenly honey dew,
Wow, I forgot how tenderly he kisses, I love his passion, that I always knew,
Can we chose who we love, who our hearts long to, who becomes are soulmate
Who am I to fight destiny, to resist nature, to contest our fate. © 2015 Xander West |
