Tomorrow Is Always Better I'm ToldA Poem by Xander West
Tomorrow is Always Better I'm Told
Stumbling blindly through this life on mine, I've been lost for only God knows the time, Pondering forever at every unmarked crossroad, Sleeping on it for tomorrow is always better I'm told. So, here I sit staring upon the fall's night sky, Asking the shiny mooning for advice as I cry, Watching the stars and my life slowly fly by, Somewhere, out there I feel you forever nearby, Yet, angels are not meant to live a life among us, So I watch you fly away as I feel the weight above crush, For Throughout my pitiful life I long and wait, Your angelic smile I simply can not ever escape. Trudging angrily through this life of mine, I've been lost for so damn long, an eternal time, Staring intently upon every unmarked crossroad, Waiting until tomorrow for its always better I'm told. So, I sit here watching the fall's night sky come alive, Asking the fading moon for advice as I sigh, Watching brilliant lights arise from darkness and thrive, Somewhere, out there I feel you forever nearby. Yet, Angels like you don't belong with the likes of me, So, I cry as you fly away, forever letting you be, And here I wonder alone for an untold eternity, For your lovely eyes shall always haunt me. Stumbling blindly through this life of mine, I've been lost up until this point of time, Marching silently down a unmarked crossroad, For no matter, tomorrow will always be brighter I'm told. So, I walk towards the distant glorious sunrise, No longer listening to moon's echoed lies, Knowing I belong somewhere out there among the skies, Forever searching, forever sensing you somewhere nearby. Since Angels like you don't belong in this life of mine, I walk away, I sacrifice the rest of my treasured time, And here I search for your beautiful soul, For tomorrow is always better I'm told © 2015 Xander West |
