![]() A Dream's JourneyA Poem by Xander WestDown upon my soft bed my weary head I lay, Oh to see your radiant beauty to God I feverishly pray, My glorious angel remains the last thought upon my crashing mind, How I hope it's her kindred spirit in my dreams I find. My eyes suddenly awaken to a soft angelic sound, All over in forestry green to fireflies' light abound, Through the moon-lit woods do I follow her soothing song, To find my one true love do I so eagerly long. For hours do I trampled through the full moon's night, For eternity do I wish to adore her radiance in my sight, Upon a rapidly running creek do I stumble, Closing in upon her voice do my hands begin to tremble. Along side the whispering creek do I quickly jog, To emerge in the thickest, whitest London fog, All around wispy white is all I can see, But her beckoning voice surely guides me. A marvelous crystal clear lake do I discover, And there gliding upon the waters is my sweet lover, Out in a small little boat I so happily row, I gaze how the moonlight radiating on her skin seems to glow. I reach out to hold the hand of the Keeper of my Heart, For now only a small distance keeps us apart, I lightly pull my lover's body against me so tight, How now all in the universe seems so perfectly right. Sparks alight as our lips so eagerly meet, How she taste so heavenly sweet, All my life's scars does her touch mends, And this is where my dream suddenly ends. In a bed do I awaken to rays of sunshine, The sweetest of her lips do I still taste upon mine, Thoughts of her are always the first upon my mind, No better woman will you find among all the fabrics of time. © 2015 Xander West |
