Broken steal

Broken steal

A Poem by Eric Zavala

With her eyes so blue
She asked me "what are we going to do?"
And I didn't know what to say
I searched the skies night and day
For When will we finally heal
When will our hearts not feel like broken steal
All cold and alone
That's an answer that will never be known
And we just have to push threw everyday
But for that question I won't know what to say
And when will this feeling be gone
Why have our paths already been drawn?
And can't we change the way we go
Or is it already to late?
I can see my demise start to escalate
With her eyes so blue
She asked me "what are we going to do?"
And I didn't know what to say
I searched the skies night and day
For When will we finally heal
When will our hearts not feel like broken steal
All twisted and torn apart
When will it look like it did at the start?
When will it look like my young heart
I said "just stay here.
I will take care of it all"
I watch all my walls fall
And I let the air come to me
and I can already see
My heart change to how it was before
I don't see my demise anymore
And the roads have all been changed
Me and you help them be rearranged
With her eyes so blue
She looked at me and I said
"this is all because of you"
