Flowers you left for me

Flowers you left for me

A Poem by Eric Zavala

All the flowers you left for me
The ones by my bed
Have just lost their color
And are already dead
I haven't Thrown them away
I stare at them every day
and all the fruit you gave me
It all started to rot
As the room started to get hot
And how I miss the days
Where we were free
Where I wasn't chained down
By the thoughts inside of me
And the angel grabs my hand
And pulls me up to neverland
And I am set free
From the thoughts inside of me
It let me break this chain
It helped me leave the pain
All behind me
And now I'm set free
The flowers you left for me
The ones by my bed
Have finally been removed
Because I am dead
And I'm set free
From when I was chained down
By the thoughts that are inside of me
And the angel grabs my hand
And pulls me up to neverland
And I am set free
From the thoughts inside of me
It let me break this chain
It helped me leave the pain
All behind me
And now I'm set free
And the flowers you left for me
By the place I now rest
Have grown strong and beautiful
By my heart and my chest
