Winter

Winter

A Poem by XShadowXFoxX
"

I wrote this in about 3 minutes from a prompt in my English class.

"

She was cold.

Cruel.

Indifferent.

LIke her heart was a blizzard.

And she had ice water in her veins.

Her eyes were chips of ice.

Her skin, snow.

Her words like icicles.

Ready to drop on unknowing prey.

With dagger-sharp points and a harsh numbness.

She was winter.

The killer of flowers.

The silencer of birds.

The precurser to spring.

The child of fall.

Made of ice, snow, and silence.
