Dying Love

Dying Love

A Poem by Beautiful Chaos

"I have no more use for you" he said,
as he threw away her heart,
while crushing it in his hands.
she looked up towards his face
how could a man
so handsomely real
yet undyingly vain
say forever and
then just walk
away.

oh how he used to say
there will never be
a minute
that your hand will leave mine.
never will i let you fall
or send you astray.
this went through her fragile soul,
as the goodbye rose
he gave
fell to the pavement.

then one last time
their moist lips touched.
the dark
yet warm feeling
of dying love.

That is when she realized,
the thought permeating through her mind,
either she had stopped breathing
or forever had died.
