Don't Go Out

Don't Go Out

A Poem by Ghost Writer

Mirrors and pictures aren't accurate depictions of what you look like to everyone else,
It's a warped image seen with a piece of glass.
You can never really see how you look through someone else's eyes.
No two people see you the same,
One may notice a rainbow of colors in your eyes while another notices the sea of colors in your hair.
The way you grin before you laugh,
The way you hiccup after you cry.
Maybe they think you look perfect when you wake up in the morning,
Sunlight dancing over your skin and taunting your half closed and sleep blurred eyes.
When you brush your thumbs under your eyes and wipe away tears from laughing to hard,
Or drag your hands across your face in a half hearted useless attempt to wash away sleep.
They see you panic for a second when you miss the last step,
Then laugh it off when you catch your self and skip away into a twirl.
How you passionately talk about things you love,
Waving your hands in glorious gestures while your rainbow eyes sparkle and you toss your head back into musical laughter.
You almost feel like a child when everyone told you that you are perfect,
You look around at your friends and smile to your self because of the beautiful family you have built around yourself.
You can't see through their eyes,
Because your beautiful comes from inside.
