HunterA Poem by KittehJust a little piece I did as an English Assignment. We had to write a poem about something that had to do with the book "White Fang" by Jack London. It could be about the Yukon, Wolves, or a feeling you may get while being stranded.
Hunter Crouching in the shadows Watching your prey graze; Unsuspecting it’s nearing fate Patience is the key, wait for the perfect moment to strike Aim for the life force, the honey filled artery in the throat Crawl out of your hiding place Dash out, time for the chase One on one, prey and predator Each has a fair chance A combination of hoofs and paws thundering through the forest Snapping twigs, announcing a chase of life and death Adrenalin racing through every vain Muscles spasm with joy Leaping at the ankles, bringing the pregnant doe down Ripping and slashing with iron fangs, trying to get to the life force Finally, succulent blood filling your mouth The red sugar coating the inside of your throat Taste what you’ve just stolen, This is the course of the hunter © 2008 Kitteh |
