Grandma

Grandma

A Poem by Alexis
"

I had written this Friday September 3, 2010 at 4:00am when I was told that my grandmother had died.

"

You’ve been there from the very start.

When I needed someone I knew I could come to you.

The memories we’ve made together will always be with me.

In this generation most teenagers don’t appreciate what they have until it’s too late.

Once it’s over they realize they can’t ever get back what they’ve lost.

I just want to let you know that I love you more than anything and you will never be forgotten.

I appreciate all that you have done for me and I’m proud to have had a grandmother like you.

You were never afraid to speak your mind.

I know that you never liked me seeing you in the condition that you were.

But I never cared what you looked like.

All I saw was the caring, strong, amazing woman that you were, are, and always will be.

It’s hard to put into words just how much I love you.

I love you and you will always be in my heart.
