Sadness

Sadness

A Poem by Xaine E. Cross
"

*Shrug* My writings are never much more than thoughts that pop into my head.

"

Sorrows encroach,

The Shadows approach,

The loneliness sets in.

With body heavy,

And mind not ready,

I wait for the proverbial sin.

What will I do,

When I see you,

For the first and final time?

Will there be glee,

Or will you see,

The true pain my heart is in.

Seems a little too glib for the serious intentions that you mean for it to carry.
