Merry-Go-Round

Merry-Go-Round

A Poem by Tori
"

Playground Love…the purest kind.

"
So young,
I'm listening to you breathing,
Lost inside our mindless dreaming.
Barefoot,
We were running through the wet grass,
one more day of never lookin' back.
Picking flowers and dancin in the rain,
Couldn't wait for summer when I'd see you again.
Whispering secrets in the bright sunny days,
I remember that kiss like it was yesterday.

Ashes, ashes
We never fell down,
You had me spinnin' like a Merry-go-Round
and Round again,
Oh how I wish that summer would never end.
Held my hand on the swing,
you told me that you loved me,
Too young to know
what all our love could be.
Left me standing there,
not knowing what to say,
Never saw you again,
but I still loved you anyway.

The sun is gone and the snow is finally fallin,
take a look back and suddenly we're talkin'
Pinky promise that you would never leave me,
Told you I'd be there whenever you may need me.
I'd hide my heart, but you would always seek it,
Remember that promise? you said you'd always keep it?
Hurts that you lied but guess we couldn't help it.

Ashes, ashes
We never fell down,
You had me spinnin' like a Merry-go-Round
and Round again,
Oh how I wish that summer would never end.
Held my hand on the swing,
you told me that you loved me,
Too young to know
what all our love could be.
Left me standing there,
not knowing what to say,
Never saw you again,
but I still loved you anyway.

Ashes Ashes
Ashes Ashes
Let me fall down
Ashes Ashes
Ashes Ashes
Like a Merry-go-Round
Ashes Ashes
Ashes Ashes
