Juliet's Lies

Juliet's Lies

A Poem by Tori
"

So like. Kinda the sequel to Romeo's Guilt. Kinda the reason he ended up killing her.

"
*loads the gun*
I'm tired of your burning lies,
who are you to say goodbye?
It never mattered, I don't guess,
That my heart melts within my chest.
You hade my soul, my everything,
You even held the moon upon a string,
Chains of love held me by your side,
I suffered, but did you ever see me cry?
I fell upon my feet and knees,
I gave everything to give you what you need.
I did what I could to make sure you were pleased,
I gave my life, my heart was on my sleeve.
Those eyes of yours that thanked me,
I now know secretly hated me.
Each time I surrendered you my touch,
did it leave you in disgust?
The veil that fell upon your face,
was all to satisfy your taste.
You used what all I had to give,
Now you've taken my reason to live.
A monster with an angel's physique,
You're eyes and lies each baffled me.
You let me go and ran away,
Is this how you must repay?
You liar, you loser,
you're nothing but a user.
Juliet, Why must you let me go?
Was I never your real Romeo?
I fought the lies,
I refused disguise.
My own life and family, I betrayed,
Just to love you another day.
I faced the pain of a promised hell,
I guess I know the sorrow of betrayal.
So breaking my heart is just your game?
Alas my Juliet, You've ruined my name.
My hands are at your throat, I can't pull away,
God, Juliet, why did you treat me this way?
I loved you like a goddess, cherished you like the sun,
But now you've gone and burned it all,
My god, love…what have you done?
Nights cloak shielded me from their eyes,
But yet It couldn't hide from your lies.
Juliet…
Why?
Why?
To spill your blood would satisfy,
but can I kill what was mine?
You've used me for escape,
So sad I knew too late.
Don't cry my love, no need to fight,
just give in, it will all be alright.
What was can no longer be,
before you die, you'll think of me.
Sorry, Juliet, I'm not leaving here alone,
You promised me your hand,
so now you're mine to own.
Foolish. Liar. Liar. Liar.
All you did was feed me lies!
Damn you, Juliet!
Betrayed by my only wife.
My pilgrims hands do touch,
yes…
they'll touch your tender neck,
Look me in the eyes, Juliet,
I swear you'll never forget.
I'll drink my Poison,
you'll drink yours.
tsk tsk. Juliet…
You stupid girl!
But what is done just can't be helped,
It's time to feel what all I've felt.
They'll think it was your hand that took our life,
but they'll never see past the bloody knife.
So goodbye, Juliet, it's time to end this,
If you like, Juliet, I'll seal the deal with a final…kiss.
*pulls trigger*

Author's Note

Tori
Um so The constant use of the word lies/liar/lie was used intentionally. Not because I ran out of forwards. And yes, the calm to insane layout was also intentional. Not a mistake. I promise.
