You again

A Chapter by Tori
"

In case i forgot to mention it in the last chapter, Devon is kind of one of the popular guys. His hair is sandy blonde and real long in a sort of sophisticated way. so yeah.

"
Voices erupted and echoed through the halls as the 2:30 bell let out a piercing ring. A ring that was more than any mer sound. It was freedom. Escape from the confined walls of dreary daily education and drama. It was the beginning of every teenager's dream. Spring break. An entire week free of people yelling and teachers bitching about something we had to do. No mind numbing stacks of works forced upon us that, regardless of our dismay, we finished to reach the goal and satisfaction of an A. This was our reward.
"Spring break, baby! Time to get fuuuucked up!!" A boy shouted as we all burst from the school doors towards our cars and busses. His enthusiasm was greeted by several shouts and hollers from girls and guys.
"Hey man!" Brian shouted, wrapping his arm roughly around my shoulder. "Spring break, baby!" To my surprise, Brian planted a quick kiss on my cheek. I shrugged him off and laughed.
"Dude. You're totally gay," I exclaimed, punching him in the arm. Several girls had witnessed and were staring. One even let out a whistle. Brian responded by humming a popular stripper song and pretended to remove his clothes. The girls giggled with glee and walked away, trying not to seem desperate.
"Hurry up, you f****t!" I shouted jokingly at Brian. "Your mom's here!"
Brian waved goodbye to the girls and rushed to my side. We both walked towards the car, slapping each other high fives and shouting at the top of our lungs.
"You two are crazy!" Brian's mother exclaimed as we entered the car. Brian used to drive home every day, but he got in trouble for failing a class so his parents took his keys till he improved his grades. Till then, his mom was our escort.
"Alright, dude! The shower's all yours!"
I caught the towel Brian had tossed at me and headed towards the bathroom.
"I'll be back in a moment, try not to miss me too much," I said jokingly. He placed his hand over his heart and pretended to cry.
"I'll try, my love!"
I just shook my head and laughed. Once I reached the bathroom, I hung the towel over the counter and turned on the shower. I stripped down and hopped in. It was warm. I sighed. Just what I needed…a nice, warm, relaxing shower. The intoxicating sent of soap filled my nostrils.
"God," I sighed, leaning against the shower wall. I could do was think of her. How beautiful she was. How things would be if I had stopped her that day. I rested my head in my hands. Brain and I were going roller skating that night with a bunch of other kids from schools all around. It was tradition. The first night of spring break, everyone skates. I wasn't sure why, but it sounded fun. I went every year. Not for the skating, but in hopes I might see her.
I finished cleaning up and stepped out of the shower. I was drying off when I heard the door bell ring. Quickly after, Brian shouted from his room, "Hey, Devon! Can you get that? It should be my Aunt! She's supposed to be bringing me my skates!"
"Yeah!" I replied, searching frantically to find my clothes. I hadn't realized how long it was taking me till I heard the door bell ring a second time. Then a third. Then a fourth. I growled in frustration and decided just to wrap the towel around my waist. I would crack open the door, grab the skates, and be out of there without flashing the whole subdivision. And his aunt.
I rushed down stairs and headed for the door. Heaving a sigh, I grasped the handle and pulled open the door. I was speechless. It was one of the goth girls from school earlier. Only…she didn't look like goth girl. She was in a pair of bright pink fuzzy pants with colorful circles and a light blue shirt with hello kitty on it. Her piercings had been removed and she was no longer wearing make up. Her black hair, complimented by a pink headband, framed her face, curling and waving in a unexpected fashion. She held a pair of skates in her hand.
"Y-your Brian's…Aunt?" I stammered, completely puzzled. She stared in surprise, as if she had finally seen me. She looked at me, concentrating. She was trying to figure out who I was. Then it hit her. Once she realized that she knew me, she dropped her gaze.
"No. Um, here's his skates. Give them to him and tell him next time, don't leave them at my house," she said quietly.
"Oh. Alright…" I reached out to grab the skates. As I did, Brian's german shepherd, Misty, bolted out the door, pushing it wide open. I could feel my cheeks burning bright red as I became exposed. Not fully, of course. But it was now clear I was in a towel.
She also turned bright red. She shoved the skates at me and ran back to the car. I stared in shock as she pulled out of the driveway, the tail lights disappearing. I knew this feeling. A sudden flash of her burned in my mind. I slammed the door shut and darted upstairs, stumbling as I ran. I burst into the room and through the skates on the ground.
"Whoa man!" Brian exclaimed. "Put some clothes on!"
"Who is she man? How do you know her?" I cried, grasping Brian's shoulders.
"Dude who the hell are you talking about?"
"The girl! The goth girl from school! She brought your skates. How you two know each other? Are you going out with her?"
"Dude calm the f**k down. She's my cousin."
Though completely shocked I was also extremely relived. I released Brian and plopped down on the floor. I lowered my head and began crying. I had cried like this before, but it was never for this reason. Never a positive reason. But…now…eveyrthing was wonderful.
Brian knelt beside and started shaking me. "Dude what's wrong with you? Why are you crying? Are you ok?"
I looked up at him with one of the biggest smiles I could ever produce. I never though this moment would come.
"I found her…" I murmured through my joyous sobs.
"What?"
"I found her!" I shouted with glee.
"Dude…you're totally whack."
I ignored the comment and looked up at the ceiling, still smiling and crying. I finally found you! I've found you! My Juliet...
