Shadows in the Night

Shadows in the Night

A Poem by Tori
"

not sure.

"
Lustful eyes shine inside the night,
breathe away the last sliver of light.
Blood on its hands,
Blood on it's lips,
Darkness drains from it's ruby kiss.
A rose wedged between razor teeth,
The world falls beneath it's feet.
A dark red moon,
an open tomb,
A whisper of fading hopes and dying embers,
Dreams are broken and memories dismembered.
Victims lie frozen, dead on the floor,
eyes open in terror, lost forever more.
It's velvet words capture your tormented soul,
It's dead lies make your world whole.
A voice captured inside your throat,
It's diamond passion strips you of hope.
It forces it's lust and silent seduction,
It's hands holding emptiness, it's heart holding nothing.
Fall inside it's crystal eyes,
Hold your tongue there's no goodbyes.
A dying dawn lost in the light,
A love as hopeless as a shadow in the night.

Twas absolutely, blasphemously, terribly............... AWESOME!!!!! Wonderful job! The imagery was magnificent, the rhymes were great, it was overall an absolutely great poem. I think one of my favorite lines is "A rose wedged between razor teeth." that was genius. Wonderful job..... friend. *cough, nudge*
