Lost

Lost

A Poem by Tori
"

A young man searching for death, but finds forever.

"

Let me tell you a story,
One of great despair,
Such treachery and grief,
That Romeo cannot compare

A poor young man,
trying to be free,
Forced through years,
of pain and suffering.
A woman lost,
A child dead,
still looking for the one,
to put the gun up to his head.
But one eternal kiss,
and all hopes of death are gone,
as his body slowly changes,
he says goodbye to the dawn.
Awaken, he does,
with a new perspective,
all he ever knew
was nothing but deceptive.
He finds an orphaned girl,
and, over powered by his thirst,
slowly drains her life,
this one is his first.
In sorrow and shame,
at what he's done,
he flees the scene,
like he does the sun.
He's creator finds him,
and much to his surprise,
the little girl lives,
with hungry eyes.
Damned to eternity,
just like the others,
She lost her mortality,
but gained her two brothers.
However one
was more than such,
a fatherly figure
she adored so much.
But slowly she grew,
but remained the same,
Her body frozen,
only her mind will change.
Golden doll like curls,
that framed her pale face,
a child of the night,
with elegance and grace.
Jealousy overtook her,
and she wanted to no other,
So an attempt was made,
to end her dear brother.
The blood of the dead,
she pumped into his stream,
and as he drew his last breath,
she listened to him scream.
Her father assumed,
this was the end,
however they were wrong,
and encountered him again.
He lunges for the girl,
and calls her name,
Father throws a lamp,
and he burst into flames.
So for years on the travel,
the young man and girl,
A father and daughter,
apart of the New World.
the girl grows lonely,
and wishes for another,
abiding to her wish,
the man gives her a mother.
They soon find others,
people like them,
undead beings,
who crave to have him.
Punished for a crime,
the younger girl did commit,
she and her mother
are thrown into a pit.
Soon the sunshines,
and begins to pour in,
there is no escape,
the rays burn their skin.
Another woman lost,
another child  gone,
taken by the sun,
and the coming of dawn.
Powered by grief,
that will never end
the young man sought,
to have his reveange.
Before the nights end,
The undead corpses covered the floor,
and the young man exists,
through the dark, underground door.

The story Just told,
is much more than that,
it's the tale of Young Louis,
Claudia and Lestat.

Great job here writing a poem based on the Interview with a vampire. I read the book and have seen the movies, both more than once, and think you did an outstanding job here. Your poem is impressive, the rhyme and flow of it was wonderful.

Very.. Interesting, to say the least. The emotion was lacking but the story, extraordinary. I think you could be quite good at writing about real life.
