Empty Handed

Empty Handed

A Poem by Tori
"

All I ask is for your love, and yet you've left me empty handed.

"

How did this happen?

What came over me?

Why did I do this?

How could I not see?

You're beauty drug me in,

As I fought to get out.

You kept me silent,

As I tried to shout.

Your haunting words,

kept me in place.

No matter how fast I ran,

I couldn't win the race.

Your lies seemed so true,

I couldn't help but believe.

Even though I chose to trust you,

I knew what you had concieved.

Each eyelash that you batted,

blew me farther away.

But no matter how far I flew,

I couldn't stay away.

I continued to return,

I kept begging for more,

and look at me now,

still waiting outside your door.

You've seized my heart,

I can't I get it back.

It's yours to keep,

but you already know that.

You keep it hidden,

it's locked away.

Only for your use,

concealed in a secret place.

You've clipped my wings,

and left me stranded.

I'm crying for your lust,

but you've left me empty handed.

This was an amazing poem indeed.
My favorite part had to be this one:
-------------------------------------------------------
"You've clipped my wings,
and left me stranded.
I'm crying for your lust,
but you've left me empty handed."
------------------------------------------------------
very nice words to complete the poem. Nice work!
