Silent Lullaby

Rockabye baby in the grave, you'll never see another day.

Hush your child's desperate cries,

sing them a silent lullaby.

Send them dreams,

of blackened wings,

and pull their spirits form the sky.

Lay them down in eternal sleep,

and know their soul the devil keeps.

Demons swimming in their minds,

destroying them one at a time.

Butterflies with crippled wings,

howling wolves bound to sing,

listen close,

don't let go,

You're dead to everything.

Rockabye little baby boy,

always know you're nothing but a toy.

Close your eyes

you're sure to die

and never agian know joy.

Don't say a word,

There's no chance in being heard

Hush little baby,

if you hold on then maybe,

You'll sing with the mockingbird.

Mommy's gonna let you die,

no matter how much you cry,

so hush your mouth,

without a doubt,

listen to my silent lullaby.

Whoa... I love this poem! It was kinda dark, but an amazing poem! I loved how you altered the normal, sweet lullaby to become edgy and darker! Everything flowed wonderfully! I loved the details and descriptions! I really liked the whole poem! Fantastic poem! This is gonnabe added to my favorites! :D
