Lonley Child

Lonley Child

A Poem by Tori
"

Lonley child, standing in the wind, Waiting for everything to end.

"

Lonley child, Satnding in the wind,

Waiting for everything to end.

The howling air bites at your cheek,

Your trembling knees still grow weak.

Happiness and love, is all you seek.

The pain continues to wither at your feet,

never ceasing.

Those bruises on your tender skin,

the ones that scream,

the ones that say,

Dear Father, please, take me far away,

Let me walk with you,

and stay by you,

through and through.

You feel your heart sink as he walks in,

You hold your breathe, here we go again.

You wonder what you did wrong,

Knowing the pain wont last too long.

Even through the screams of pain,

and the endless days of crying in the rain,

You must stay strong,

and carry on,

You will not let him see you cry,

for the fear inside you,

is weakness in his eyes.

Another day, another bruise,

It's nothing new.

Look up at the Angels,

who guide you through the night,

telling you that everything is alright.

So please, Little one,

do not cry,

Just taketheir hand,

he is waiting on the other side.

I agree with both of you, it's very touching to think of the pain a serene child can go through.
