O That Dear TurkeyA Poem by C.J.we all have a silly side!
O That Dear-Dear Turkey
O that turkey
That perky-perky turkey
He used to say gobble-gobble
But that was when he used to hobble
One night this fowl got a fright,
From a howl that pierced the night
That dear turkey jumped out of his hammock
He said gobble-gobble and ran with a panic
He ran thru the night without a light
You should have seen it was quite a sight
But soon his steam ran out
And he sat and started to pout
I caught that turkey
That perky turkey
I tied him up and he turned to me and said “gobble?”
He soon found out he was in trouble and tried to wobble
I will say that turkey never got away
Instead he is at my house this very day
Now you wonder what happened to him
The poor perky turkey will never say “gobble” again.
