Sharp-tongued

Sharp-tongued

A Poem by Wynter Ignatius
"

I snapped and that is relatively uncharacteristic of me so I need to reassess myself before it happens again.

"
Spitting out

Gut reactions

Of rank

Odiferous bile

Throwing asunder

Uncharacteristic remarks

Like litter

Vandalizing indiscriminately

Relative strangers

Without reason

Unexcused actions

Twisted words

Hammered in

Deepest wounds

Beyond care

Layered deep

Left festering

Before realization

Damage wrought

Over jest

Poke, prod

Face slapped

Shard tongue

Lashing out

Control lost

Composure unfound

Demons loose

Recompense sought

Transgression’s fault

Ashamed misconduct

Unjustified fully

Judgment lapsed

Requiring grindstone

Blunted tongue

Less sharp

Softer approach

Absent claws

Bared abruptly

Stilled voice

Biting hard

Regret heavy

Sinking ships

Burning bridges

Rather foolish

Wild animal

Needing discipline

Taught lesson

From remarks

Aired out

Dirty laundry

Shoved upon

Unexpected innocence

Showing fault

In management

Of self

Working on

Better man

Than today

Reflecting darkness

Rather than

Inner light
