Tenuous Connection

Tenuous Connection

A Poem by Wynter Ignatius
"

Close is not caused by proximity alone...

"
Tenuous connections
Invisible silvery cords
Tracing with fingers
A single hair
Not quite there

Absent presence
Ghost no longer haunts
A telltale heart
Wanting much more
Left not fought for

An endless roller coaster
With more valleys
Than memorable peaks
Not rolling the dice
Given but a slice

Tensions caressed
Then left fleeting
Breath frozen stiff
Behind pursed lips
As affection slips
