One Way StreetsA Poem by Wynter IgnatiusA fleeting mood of late...Traffic
flows steady To
a point of overflow Upon
this one way street Seeing
limited traffic From
head on As
I stand there Stuck
in the crosswalk Unsure
to cross Or
stand still Facing
the blinding lights Blurs
of brilliant crimson Rubber
to the road Exhaustive
aroma choking With
oil slicked races Along
the lonely blacktop Faster
on a yellow Running
a red Stalling
for green Signals
are unclear U-turning
with the flow © 2014 Wynter IgnatiusFeatured Review
