A Poem by Wynter Ignatius
"

It's not who is standing right there but rather the ones that make time for you.

"
Tell me again
About your grades
What plants are in your garden

Tell me again
About your dreams
What bothers you deep in your soul

You don't seek
My recognition
I don't have to ask
To know how you are
You just tell me
Again and again
Because I will gladly listen
Till my very end

Tell me again
About your dinner
What great novel idea you have

Tell me again
About your troubles
What a chore it is to stop talking

I don't ask
Your thoughts
You tell me without falter
As truth so binds us
Spoken in every word
Sentence after sentence
Deepest concern for your dearest friend
Lifting up every chance

Tell me again
About your past
What shaped your beauty today

Tell me again
About your day
What hopes you have for yourself
We seek out
Shared council
We don't have to ask
What the other is thinking
We just speak our minds
Heart to heart
For our care goes much deeper
Than our spoken words

sometimes having someone to listen is the greatest blessing in the world.. when they actually CARE, take the time to understand... to enjoy each other's company... talking about everything.. anything.. nothing.. that is real, true, selfless, friendship.. it is where you have a blast no matter what.. where you look up and you have been on the phone for hours without realizing it.. where you find yourself excited to tell them about things that have happened.. you have expressed this so beautifully here.. well done!

A bit of a feeling of Oriah Mountain dreamer here to me. I read it a few times and it always told me that in itself already intriguing. See what is so agreeable in this writing is the gesture of selfessness found as if with open ears and open arms in Tell me again. I imagine Dad sitting at the end of the bed telling daughter. Tell me again about all your hopes and dreams. Which will lead then to the realasation that "We seek out council". heart to heart. The enveloping gesture that needs no words.

This is an endearing inspiration. I hope it find its reality.

Thankyou
