Closing distance in handwritten lines

Flaws draw closer to willing embrace

Skipping beats yet keeping in tune

Timid echoes close in as high tides

Time forever stamped in ornate tin

Precious yet too delicate to hold tight

Winged departure out open window

Rules unwritten yet perfectly clear

Two steps back to make one forward

For yearning now bathed thick tar

Stilled in grin paralleling unforgotten past

Seeing the truth through blinded pride

In awe of chaos that falls into place

Always holding the key to your escape

Jailbreak of spirits fated to this devotion
