April Showers

April Showers

A Poem by Wynter Ignatius
"

Loss gets to us all...

"
Gray and muted
Sky weeping in the light
Every drop a simple story
But memory
Soiled now and sorrows
Falling to earth
Against all it borrows

Stilled an unflinching
She stands by resting stone
Torrid waves rolling deep inside
This loss
Brings forth infinite woe
Straddling the vortex
Flowers but for show

Wet and stinging
Tears shed don't and passing
Taken by hands so shaky
One life
Now relegated to momentos
Left to dust
Bittersweet reflection of crescendos

Hours and days
Change to months and years
As healing comes with patience
Broken heart
Slowly beat steady tune
Picking up all
Pieces far less strewn

I can get what you're feeling and as a writer who tends to focus on order and rhythm far too much I can appreciate the chaos felt in loss and confusion amongst some of the wording. Sometimes no matter how you edit to help others understand the feeling it won't have the same impact as the words you originally chose.

Thank you DJ - inspiration was there, I answered.
stunning, beautiful, and so moving David.. It has touched me with bittersweet emotion... The imagery and feelings gently caress counterbalanced by waves of friendship... I love this..

Any time my friend - pardon my absence of late.
A bittersweet homage to a special poet's pain, it does indeed affect us all.

The dancing in the prelude of Melancholia. It was a journey a little grey , surrounded by images that succeed only at coming short. I will stop there because as this feels like a gesture similar to other's already in existence, In my views just to uphold with respect and best thoughts and to say thankyou for your noble heart disposition as you are giving me the chance to be represented and also a feeling that I can adhere to.

Thankyou
