In Her Hands

In Her Hands

A Poem by Wynter Ignatius
"

In every choice is a heart break, in ever heart beat there is love...

"
In her hands,
Is every tear drop ignored,
Salted pain unnoticed,
In her hands,
Is every piece of her heart,
You promised would never part.

In her hands,
Is every blank stare so true,
Timed to heartbeats,
In her hands,
Is every moment passed by,
Leaving her alone to just cry.

In her hands,
Is every kiss not given,
Staining stale air, In her hands,
Is every laugh she has shared,
With someone whom truly has cared.

In her hands,
Is every heart she loves,
Some edging off,
In her hands,
Is every time you didn't smile back,
Leaving her shocked by sudden lack.

In her hands,
Is every intimate moment between,
Now dusty decay,
In her hands,
Is every sweet word not spoken,
For this is leaving her heart broken.

In her hands,
Is every dream she has had,
Some fading away,
In her hands,
Is every "I love you" now lost,
For only an end will show the cost.

this is so beautifully heartbreaking... you write this with such a gentleness and understanding... it shows just how much you care, how deeply you see, and how carefully you adore... those small details that you highlight throughout this piece are so moving. they reach out and smack the reader each time and leave you feeling the pain, the heartache, the need, the longing, the void, the hope, the dreams a little bit more each time until you are sitting here a raw, jumbled up emotional heap... I absolutely adore this piece... the tear drops ignored.... kisses and affection not shown.... no smiles or laughter..... the sweet, encouraging, affectionate words never spoken..... the dreams they crushed.... these all take their toll on a soul and a relationship until it becomes broken and realize that they deserve so much better.... what an awesome piece.... love it...

She does because I can feel it. I may know her better than I know myself.

What an honest manifestation of love. This is th kind of thing I could never do so I am so glad when I read it on someone else. The way your wrting unfolds like a flower one by one carefully the petals drop while the cycle completes and you remind me that it is in here hands where everything belongs. It is also very inviting as you go as the rhytm is again gentle and it must be a reflection of the way you relate. With patience, with care and interes and devotion.

Oh, the beauty of unity.

Thankyou

I missed a few reviews of this one, and for that I am sorry - it seems to be one of my better pieces.. read more
I like it. It flows well, although sometimes the metaphor may have been lost on me, but as I finished reading I began to realize this seems to be about the feeling that you are unable to do anything for a person and yet understand absolutely every aspect of what she is going through. Sad concept but good piece of writing!
