Yet No Tears Will Fall

Yet No Tears Will Fall

A Poem by Wynter Ignatius
"

Can't cry over something that didn't happen nor was but eluded to for further observation...

"
I'm not sure how things came to change
If you knew more than you entertained
I didn't say much besides my thoughts
A growing ember of bold uncertainty
Resting delicately in my calloused hands

Yet no tears will fall
As I know not of your true pain
Seeing something in you to gain

Now with but silenced echoes between us
Where chats occurred without much delay
I didn't admit to anything so terrible
A tiny light from my darkest corners
Left to grow with the passing of time

Yet no tears will fall
As I know not of your heart
Seeing you recover to new start

Concern only grows despite your trepidation
Rather seeing you pull away from the kindness
Over a suggested path yet to be walked
Trails not underfoot in your heart and mind
Speaking praise in me and ignoring potential dawn

Yet no tears will fall
As I can't watch this slipping slump
Wanting of cross over the next hump
