A Dance with my DemonsA Poem by Wynter IgnatiusI'm taking to embracing my darker side of things - this is just the beginingTake
a tight grip on my hand Let’s
slow dance into pure oblivion Our
feet may tear and bleed Till
out constitutions crumble and fail But
please pull me in close and tight Please
dance with me my demons Endlessly
till our prerogatives are dust
Opening
with a waltz of deepest lust Then
box stepping on my battered heart Pulping
into the floor and our and feet Leaving
crimson paths of our very love Laughing
along and holding on oh so close Smelling
your brimstone and smoke scent An
entrancing bouquet I've long adored
Swing
me quickly about a razor’s edge Calypso
with my in the vortex’s eyes Tap
dance along to my final heart beats Polka
to the holes in my tattered soul Break
dance along my shattered bones Grind
with me down to the nothing I am Tango
here along the edges of my grave
Dance
this sweet extinction of mine Never
let me go as we crumble and fall Take
with you should you decease Eyes
on me as we exchange the lead As
we both know this frolic by heart This
last dance saved for just you and I As
this night spills forth our very existence
