One Way RoadA Poem by Wynter IgnatiusWe walk the paths we know sometimes because that is what comfort isThis
long beaten path Beneath
disillusioned feet A
road too commonly traveled Yet
it feels so natural Placing
boots upon the dirt Walking
the familiar route Walked
because of passion Enduring
the discomfort in strides For
feeling is not a crutch Destination
is always different Reasons
are all the same My
solitary jaunt so pure Heart
in tow but still beating Eyes
unsalted this time My
one way path so destitute Towards
the sunset of tomorrow As
today is but a moment A
moment soon to pass © 2014 Wynter Ignatius |
