One Last Goodnight

One Last Goodnight

A Poem by Wynter Ignatius
"

To say or or not say is the question...

"

Should I say the words?

Would they hold any meaning?

You seemed to take to them,

where few before would do.

Should I feel close?

Would it matter if I did?

Gentleman in scope of thought,

unbound nature you questioned.

Should this be any different?

Would you see yourself through my eyes?

Few if any gave you proper respect,

yet you flock to the uncouth.

Should I be your safety?

Would you want or need of me?

I’m all for helping you grow,

but also need to save myself.

Should I take this standing?

Would change your view on it?

Just know I am honest with myself,

Even if that doesn't jive with you.

Should I repress this all?

Would it make it any easier?

I will not feel ashamed or regretful,

For at least I actually care.

Thank you Kamari - I tend to put myself into all my works; some more than others.
