The Storm I Am

The Storm I Am

A Poem by Wynter Ignatius

I am this wicked dankness
Pooling into depressions
Droplets deposited past heed
Soaking bone, dusting flesh
The storm I am will drench you

I am the brilliant flashes
Rising beyond the deluge
Intermixed echo of destruction
Stinging hairs, fragmented attention
The storm I am will shock you

I am the darkest clouds
Unbleached by solar light
Veins cut spurn death
Soul cleansed, inspired breathing
The storm I am bars the light

I am the roaring thunder
Fresh scent animates senses
Steady beat surrounding fatal birth
Heartfelt song, symphonic tune
The storm I am is resounding

I am the impending calm
Tranquil surrender to a reprieve
Celestial light washing over me
Confing rage, complete peace
The storm I am has departed

I like the repetition of Iam. You have defined your heartfelt song and the fatal birth. But your poetry is the brilliant flashes...Bravo............
