Why?

Why?

A Poem by Wynter Ignatius
"

It's not that I should not care, but why I do in the first place...

"
Why does this hurt?
Why does it matter?
Why should I care?
Why can't she see?
This has nothing to do with me...

Why does it happen?
Why should anything change?
Why the empty intimacy?
Why choose this act?
This is something without tact...

Why do this again?
Why layer the pain?
Why give so much?
Why get temporary joy?
This path your on oh so coy...

Why bring out tears?
Why not face fears?
Why not change things?
Why not find love?
This is all you can think of...

Why the run around?
Why fall into pattern?
Why wallow in pity?
Why shed your respect?
This is just before all is wrecked.

Bravo my dear friend! It seems you are as talented at bleeding onto the page, if not more, as I am. Empathy leads to such bittersweet ends. But remember, it's not always bitter.
