So True

So True

A Poem by Wynter Ignatius
"

Wrote over a year ago without a title and now I finally put it out there.

"

This kindred reflection of me

Authentic beauty in mine eyes

Depth beyond any ocean

Further reaching than starlight

Kinship out of the blue

Comfortable silence without goodbye

Splendidly soul-bound friend

Always caring and kind

A better reflection of me

Adored and respected mind

Heartfelt chats conveyed often

Survivors of bloodless wars

Dauntless truth in every word

Intense fire meets chilled winter

Trepidations removed with ease

To stray unfound in either heart

This kindred soul so dear

Voice of reason beyond compare

Timeless sense of wonder

Each still their own creature

Yet of equal measure and integrity

Poets and writers for the masses

Tethered by unseen forces

Few can define or find

Reflection of my desired self

Thanks never seems enough

For all that she has done

Beyond simple words and phrase

Empathy not quite the blade

As wedge is not really there

For two souls birthed so distant

Now immeasurable and beyond compare
