A Subtle DisquietA Poem by Wynter IgnatiusIf there is one thing that will always get me down a bit, it will be not knowing what is bothering those I adore.Moments pass without thought As mind slips into the deep With no words to calm me Uncaged ideas rampant with freedom Unbound by chains of insight My nature turns to nurture Without even a whisper in retreat Surrender to errant thoughts Viable to weak and unconditioned Convictions thick prior to raging fire Leaving post over the unknown black Clemency awarded only to the just Withdrawal only deeps hole you have dug Credit for time not always payment Circular logic brings up past bare Unpacking weighs more than revamp To nest in futility a fool’s errand Timid responses provoke blatant shouts Killing time not much unlike Tightening the hangman's noose Lack of respect garners no fruit As harvest withers to fallow and salt Strength not bound to toted steel But rather heart lifted with gentle care Bound thorns piercing your hands Standing in storm to catch but a feather Loosed from angel mired in sorrows Wanting of voice and hand left silenced and still
