Three of Thee: Jennifer

Three of Thee: Jennifer

A Poem by Wynter Ignatius
"

Part of a series of my most endeared loves of my life.

"
Elder to me
Wise ear always
Cherished so much

Closer than any
First to heart
Not in yours

Vintage wine tainted
Processor's hands violate
Heart twisted mess

Touches never forbid
Kindness denied kisses
Will inhibited hands

Restrained my hands
Held me close
Heart yet distant

Lived together once
Year or more
Friends between walls

Abroad for years
Silence formed contact
Contracted me first

Quiet meetings together
Dinner and coffee
Rare yet welcome

Quiet now again
Occasional quick meets
Words rarely spoken
