Kindred

Kindred

A Poem by Wynter Ignatius
"

A close and dear friend is feeling lost and I too find myself in feeling the same a bit with empathy by guided path.

"
It was the silence between
Every word shared
That tore him in two
Not knowing how
The day had been
What woes she faced
Strong as she was
Her time away
A deep stain
On his very soul
His kindred match
The anchor held
When storms brewed
Yet in turn
He too
Wanted to help
Her see her worth
What his eyes
Could see so true
Yet this silence
Kindred
As they may be
Kept him wondering
Sleepless nights
Wanting it all better
Deserving of that
She was to him
And yet unable
To change the fates
He still tried
Worried and fret
Over the tears unseen
The ones held deep
About a lacking smile
Not adorning her face
His kindred feeling lost
Yet so close
To his very soul
He would think
Kindred dear
How are you
What can I do
What can I be
To bring some joy
To a kindred soul
Tied so tightly
To his own
