Self Doubt

Self Doubt

A Poem by Wynter Ignatius
"

We all suffer from this at some point in our lives.

"
Illusion shattered by prisim's light
Icarus weeps for my lofty heights
Fixated future born of painful past
Killing words a symbol of peace
Times moves forward, anchored in place
Flame eternal snuffed by silence
Longing moves from creek to creek
Tiger's stripes washed away by tears
Hours turn to miles unwalked
Sting made easier by bathing in salt
Seed dead from water and sun
Garnered hope strangled by love
Tulips wilt from fertile soil
Glances once saw the blindness within
Strings of the harp absent yet sound brightly
Wolf howl heard not inches away
Juxtaposition not enough to be different
Echos ripe with decayed dust
Kindred spirits no not their own
Thought provoked action after the fall
