False Hope

False Hope

A Poem by Wynter Ignatius
"

Discussions with my ex-girlfriend when we were still together sparked this.

"
We all deal with a lot every day
Life is never easy for long, if at all
Moving forward despite opposition from all angles

Give up on false hope

I see you now after so many years
Looking good yet mentally fractured
Grasping at stones to keep you afloat

Let go of false hope

Where did things go wring for you
Your life seemed so in order for you
Yet I sit watching you ready to crumble apart

Stop grasping at false hope

Don't break into pieces just to deal with it all
That road is long and leads to nowhere
Pick up your chin, look to your past for friends

Avoid all false hope

I can't snap my fingers like magic
Make it all better for quick fix
I have my own issues, but I can guide

Everywhere but to false hope

Mistakes can not always be corrected
But tomorrow can be a fresh start
You just need better ways about your life

Free of false hope
