Fallen Hero

Fallen Hero

A Poem by Wynter Ignatius
"

My heroes are real people I have met and were in my life for the most part. Hurts to loose them but that is life.

"
Mentor, guide, and confidant
When did life drag you down
Who caused all this hurt
When did stagnation replace vibrance
Your dismal outlook in life
Last I saw you I was looking up to you
Now roles reversed, you looking to me
What straw broke the camel's back
What twists of fate unraveled your spirit
Is there something I can do to help
I can't do it all but I can always try
Your wisdom put to good use
Taking the role of mentor now
Just speak, I will listen
Returning a kind favor in turn
While I don't need a hero anymore
I can't sit and watch my hero fall
